The premise of the movie is similar to the initial storyline of the original comics. Al Simmons, a military soldier/assassin, has been betrayed by a covert government agency head named Jason Wynn. Wynn orders his top assassin, Jessica Priest, to assassinate him. After Simmons dies, he is immediately transported to Hell, where Malebolgia, The Devil of the various realms, offers him a Faustian deal. If Simmons becomes his eternal servant and leader of his army in Armageddon, he will be able to return to Gazer to see his beloved fiancee, Wanda Blake. Simmons accepts the offer and is transformed into a Hellspawn, which is a servant of Malebolgia in a necroplasm suit that is not only a living, breathing creature, but is also his only protection in the world.
Once he returns to the land of the living, Simmons learns that five years had passed. Wanda is now remarried to his best friend Terry and living the life he had always longed for, including the daughter he never knew, Cyan. Along his journey in this new life, he encounters a strange clown-like demon called Violator, who acts as a guide to put “Crispy” (as Violator calls Spawn) on the path to evil, and a mysterious old man named Cogliostro, who, as a fellow Hellspawn, teaches Al how to control his energy, which is very sparse. Jason Wynn is now a high-class weapons dealer rather than a government bureaucrat. He is also the ultimate target of the Spawn.
Meanwhile, Terry has just finished an online communication with a fellow newsman that he has sent evidence that will expose Jason Wynn. After the transmission, Cyan enters the room with Jason right behind her. He destroys his computer and holds the family hostage as Clown arrives. When Spawn arrives, he ends up in a fight with Jason Wynn. Spawn doesn’t realize that by killing Jason, he will activate the signal that will launch Armageddon. After not killing Wynn and extracting the device, a final battle ensues between Spawn and a transformed Violator, ending with the villain going back to Hell and his reputation is ruined. Spawn’s identity is now known to Terry, Wanda, and Cyan. Jason Wynn ends up arrested, and Spawn dedicates himself to justice rather than vengeance.

Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence) and Mike Lowrey (Will Smith) are detective sergeants in the Miami-Dade Police Department. Lowery is from a wealthy background and enjoys a playboy-like lifestyle, and Burnett is married with three kids; James, Quincy, and Megan, to Thereasa
One night, $100 million of seized heroin is stolen by gangsters from a secure police vault. This is a major blow to Burnett and Lowery, because it was the biggest drug bust of their careers. Internal Affairs believe it was an inside job and issue an ultimatum—if they do not recover the drugs in five days, the narcotics division will be shut down. It is quickly discovered that one of the gang members was Eddie DomÃnguez, a former cop, who has absconded with some of the heroin. Dominguez is shot to death by his boss, French drug kingpin Fouchet (Tchéky Karyo), who also kills escort Maxine Logan (Karen Alexander), one of Lowery’s ex-girlfriends. The only witness to the crime is Max’s best friend Julie Mott (Téa Leoni).
Although she has never met him, Julie will only testify to Lowrey, but he is out of contact when she threatens to run, so Burnett is forced to impersonate him in order to get her to co-operate. In order to continue the deception Burnett moves Julie into Lowrey’s apartment, which he himself has to move into, while Lowrey moves in with Burnett’s family and claims to be Burnett in Julie’s presence while Burnett claims to be Lowrey.
Eventually, Fouchet and his gang of criminals learn where Julie is and kidnap her. Burnett, Lowrey and two other members of the Miami P.D. organize a plan to stop the criminals from killing Julie and selling the drugs to a Colombian drug lord. A final shoot-out erupts between Burnett, Lowrey and the drug dealers. The criminals are eliminated, Julie is saved in the process and Lowrey kills Fouchet.

A boy named Michael Jordan plays basketball outside his home, telling his father that he wants to one day go to college and play in the NBA. Fast-forward several years, and Michael has not only fulfilled his dream of playing college and professional basketball, but has also become a bona fide NBA superstar. After winning his third championship with the Chicago Bulls, Jordan announces his retirement and declares his intention to play baseball. Signed to the minor league Birmingham Barons, Jordan is a major draw for the team, but only a fair to mediocre player.
Deep in space, on another planet, five tiny aliens called Nerdlucks (Pound, the orange one, Bupkus, the purple one, Nawt is the red one, Bang, the green one and Blanko, the blue one) have been sent to Earth to go to Looney Tune Land and capture the Looney Tunes characters and take them back to Moron Mountain, an outer space theme park belonging to their boss, Mr. Swackhammer (voiced by Danny DeVito). The Looney Tunes call a meeting to find a way to escape slavery on Moron Mountain. Bugs Bunny convinces the Nerdlucks that the Looney Tunes must be allowed to defend themselves and, after consulting with his fellow Tunes, challenges the Nerdlucks to a basketball game, cockily expecting a blowout victory in light of the Nerdlucks’ small size.
Swackhammer berates the Monstars for losing, but when they finally realize that they are physically bigger than he is, they turn on him and shoot him into outer space. Jordan convinces the Monstars return the skills to the players, making them Nerdlucks again. The aliens beg the Looney Tunes to let them stay in Looney Tune Land, despite Bugs’ objection that they “aren’t looney enough”. Jordan then dashes back home in time to join the Barons on the diamond, returns the stolen skills to the NBA players, and later makes his return to the NBA, mirroring his real-life comeback.

Eight years later, Narcotics cops Mike Lowrey (Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Lawrence) head a task force investigating the flow of ecstasy into Miami, after breaking up a Ku Klux Klan rally where in Mike accidentally shoots Marcus in the buttocks which, combined with Mike’s apparent propensity for violence, becomes a point of contention between the two throughout most of the film.
Meanwhile, neurotic Cuban kingpin named “Johnny” Tapia (Jordi Molla)’s plan to control the city’s drug traffic has touched off an underground war with the local Russian Mafia. The Russians, Alexei and Josef, receive drugs from Tapia to run their nightclub businesses, but had to give nearly half of their profits to Tapia. Their attempt to renegotiate ends in Josef’s death and loss of their business to Tapia.
Meanwhile, a relationship starts to form between Mike and Syd (Gabrielle Union), Marcus’ sister, who also happens to be undercover with the DEA as a money laundering agent for the Russians. During her first assignment the Zoe pounders, a Haitian gang, attempt to hijack the transport and kill Syd. A massive fire fight ensues between the gang members and the Miami Police/DEA and devastates the local area. Marcus and Mike, who happened to be observing the Zoe pounders, learn of Syd’s actual work, and Marcus is not happy.
Later, at the Burnett house, Mike has bought Marcus a new pool, and Marcus finally comes to peace with Mike dating his sister, Syd. He even tears up the transfer papers he was going to put in, which would have ended their partnership. However, the pool breaks again, washing the two into the river, as they sing the “Bad Boys” theme song from ‘Cops’. (still forgetting the actual words like before)
