The film opens with Optimus Prime, heroic leader of the benevolent Autobots, describing in a voice-over the shut down of the Transformers’ home world, Cybertron. It was destroyed by the malevolent Decepticon leader Megatron in his quest to get hold of the All Spark. The Autobots want to find the All Spark so they can use it to rebuild Cybertron and end the war between the Autobots and the Decepticons, while the Decepticons want to use it to obliterate the Autobots and take over the universe. Megatron had managed to locate the All Spark on Earth, but crash-landed in the Arctic Circle and froze in the ice. After stumbling upon his frozen body in 1897, explorer Captain Archibald Witwicky accidentally activated Megatron’s navigational system and his eye glasses were imprinted with the coordinates of the All Spark’s location, an incident that left him blind and mentally unstable. Sector 7, a secret government organization created by President Herbert Hoover, discovered the All Spark in the Colorado River and built the Hoover Dam around it to mask its energy emissions. The still-frozen Megatron was moved into this facility and was used to advance human technology through reverse engineering.

During the credits, Starscream—the only surviving Decepticon besides Scorponok—escapes into space.

It is 2019, and for the last three years, Lincoln Six Echo (Ewan McGregor) has lived in a colony of uncontaminated humans, each awaiting their chance to go to the last habitable place on Earth, known as “the Island.” Lincoln is discontent and although he works and socializes well, he is known for being an outsider. During a meeting with Dr. Merrick, the leader of the area where he lives, Lincoln seems helpless to explain his feelings. He is frustrated by the plain white clothes everyone is given and the strict control over everyone’s activities and habits. Concerned, Merrick asks to run tests on Lincoln, and inserts some nano bots into his eyes to monitor his activities for 48 hours. Lincoln learns that his best friend, Jordan Two Delta (Scarlett Johansson), will soon be leaving for “the Island.” Through an illicit visit to a construction area, Lincoln Six surreptitiously discovers that two former colonists, who were recently thought gone to the Island, are instead being subjected to brutal, ultimately fatal medical procedures and organ harvesting. He returns to the colony to rescue Jordan Two from a similar fate, but not before company chief Dr. Merrick (Sean Bean) discovers that Lincoln Six now knows the truth.

Though Merrick is much relieved to hear Lincoln Six is dead, he has discovered that two entire product lines share the same “flaw” (clones exhibiting similar neural patterns as Lincoln Six before birth) and subsequently orders a “recall” — the destruction of scores of clones. Meanwhile, having assumed the identity of his sponsor, Lincoln Six finds a way to turn the tables on Merrick’s corporation, and with help from Jordan and an unexpected alliance with Laurent, kills Merrick and rescues the colonists. The film ends with Lincoln and Jordan together riding the powerboat Renovatio to an unknown destination, which translates from Latin to mean the verb “Rebirth” or “Restoration”.

Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence) and Mike Lowrey (Will Smith) are detective sergeants in the Miami-Dade Police Department. Lowery is from a wealthy background and enjoys a playboy-like lifestyle, and Burnett is married with three kids; James, Quincy, and Megan, to Thereasa

One night, $100 million of seized heroin is stolen by gangsters from a secure police vault. This is a major blow to Burnett and Lowery, because it was the biggest drug bust of their careers. Internal Affairs believe it was an inside job and issue an ultimatum—if they do not recover the drugs in five days, the narcotics division will be shut down. It is quickly discovered that one of the gang members was Eddie Domínguez, a former cop, who has absconded with some of the heroin. Dominguez is shot to death by his boss, French drug kingpin Fouchet (Tchéky Karyo), who also kills escort Maxine Logan (Karen Alexander), one of Lowery’s ex-girlfriends. The only witness to the crime is Max’s best friend Julie Mott (Téa Leoni).

Although she has never met him, Julie will only testify to Lowrey, but he is out of contact when she threatens to run, so Burnett is forced to impersonate him in order to get her to co-operate. In order to continue the deception Burnett moves Julie into Lowrey’s apartment, which he himself has to move into, while Lowrey moves in with Burnett’s family and claims to be Burnett in Julie’s presence while Burnett claims to be Lowrey.

Eventually, Fouchet and his gang of criminals learn where Julie is and kidnap her. Burnett, Lowrey and two other members of the Miami P.D. organize a plan to stop the criminals from killing Julie and selling the drugs to a Colombian drug lord. A final shoot-out erupts between Burnett, Lowrey and the drug dealers. The criminals are eliminated, Julie is saved in the process and Lowrey kills Fouchet.

Casey Beldon (Odette Yustman) is plagued by nightmare visions of strange looking dogs, and an evil child with bright blue eyes.

While baby-sitting Matty, her neighbor’s son attacks her with a mirror. After being hit with the mirror, Casey’s eyes begin to change color, an optician explains that she is experiencing Tetragametic chimerism and Heterochromia. After questioning her father she learns she had a twin brother who died in the womb. Casey begins to suspect that the spirit haunting her is the soul of her dead twin, being possessed by a dybbuk, wanting to be born so it can transfer to the world of the living.

Casey meets a woman named Sofi, who is revealed to be her grandmother. Sofi explains that she had a twin brother who was killed in Nazi experiments in Auschwitz when they were both just children (presumably having been experimented on by Josef Mengele, as Sofi describes him as looking like an angel and Mengele was often referred to as the Angel of Death). The boy was brought back to life by a dybbuk who intended to use his body as a portal into the world of the living. Sofi killed her twin to stop the dybbuk, and now it haunts her family for revenge. Sofi refers Casey to Rabbi Sendak (Gary Oldman), who can perform a Jewish exorcism to remove the dybbuk.

The exorcism is performed, but things go awry as the dybbuk tries to stop Rabbi Sendak from completing the ritual. Several people are wounded and others are killed. The exorcism is finally completed, and the dybbuk is drawn back from the human world. Casey’s boyfriend is severely wounded and later dies with Casey by his side. Casey mourns him and she soon finds out that she is pregnant by him, with twins.

Approximately 30 years later, a group of vacationing friends—Wade (Jonathan Sadowski), Richie (Ben Feldman), Mike (Nick Mennell), Whitney (Amanda Righetti) and Amanda (America Olivo)—arrive at Crystal Lake on a camping trip, and to find some marijuana that was planted in the woods. As Mike and Whitney explore the abandoned Crystal Lake camp, Jason (Derek Mears) begins to kill the rest of the group one-by-one. Jason also kills Mike, but instead of doing the same to Whitney he decides to kidnap her because she resembles his mother at a young age.

Six weeks later, Trent (Travis Van Winkle), along with his girlfriend Jenna (Danielle Panabaker), and their friends Chewie (Aaron Yoo), Chelsea (Willa Ford), Nolan (Ryan Hansen), Bree (Julianna Guill) and Lawrence (Arlen Escarpeta) arrive at Trent’s summer cabin, which sits on Crystal Lake, unaware of the events that occurred a few weeks prior. Also in town is Clay (Jared Padalecki), who has come to Crystal Lake searching for his sister Whitney. Clay eventually makes his way to Trent’s cabin, where Jenna agrees to help him look for his sister on the other side of the lake. As Clay and Jenna search for clues to Whitney’s disappearance, Jason kills Nolan and Chelsea out on the lake. Clay and Jenna reach the old Crystal Lake campgrounds, where they witness Jason hauling a dead body into one of the abandoned camp houses.

Clay and Jenna run back to warn the others about Jason, who arrives shortly after them and cuts the power to the cabin. After killing Chewie and Lawrence, who ventured outside the house, Jason sneaks inside the cabin and kills Bree. Trent, Clay and Jenna escape the house, but Trent is killed shortly after when he reaches the main road. Jason then chases Clay and Jenna back to the campgrounds, where Clay discovers Jason’s lair and finds his sister chained to the wall. Clay frees Whitney, and all three attempt to escape as Jason arrives. The trio find an exit, but Jenna is killed before she can get out. Jason comes after Clay and Whitney, who use Jason’s love and memory of his mother to distract him long enough to stab him in the chest with his own machete. Afterward, Clay dumps Jason’s lifeless body into the lake, but before he and Whitney can leave Jason bursts through the lake dock and grabs Whitney.

A group of rogue Marines from Force Recon, led by disenchanted Brigadier General Francis X. Hummel (Ed Harris), seize a stockpile of rockets armed with VX nerve agent, a modern chemical weapon of nightmarish virulence, to which they accidently lose one of their men to in the process. They then seize Alcatraz Island during a guided tour and take 81 tourists hostage in the prison cells. Hummel threatens the Pentagon with launching VX gas rockets against the population of the San Francisco Bay Area unless the government pays reparations, including compensation to the families of Marines who died on illegal, clandestine missions.

The Pentagon and Federal Bureau of Investigation decide to deploy a Navy SEAL team to retake the island and free Hummel’s hostages by stealth. In need of first-hand knowledge of the underground tunnels of Alcatraz, they are forced to release the imprisoned John Patrick Mason (Sean Connery): the only inmate of Alcatraz who ever successfully escaped (which was covered up). FBI chemical weapons expert Dr. Stanley Goodspeed (Nicolas Cage) — socially nerdy and bumbling — is also recruited to neutralize the VX gas threat. The two men and the SEAL team commence their raid on Alcatraz. Meanwhile, the Pentagon prepares a secondary countermeasure to Hummel’s VX gas rockets: readying prototype “thermite plasma” bombs capable of incinerating the poison gas, but which will also kill any person left on the island.

While Mason battles the traitorous marines, Goodspeed rushes to locate and disarm the last rocket. After extracting the VX from the rocket, Goodspeed is attacked by the last remaining Marine. Outmatched, Goodspeed uses a VX pearl that fell loose to kill the Marine by forcing it into his mouth, thus causing him to die horrifically as well as exposing Goodspeed to the toxin (at a lower concentration). Goodspeed then forcefully injects an antidote (atropine) into his own heart to save himself. Weakened, he desperately scrambles to the open ground to signal the command center to abort the airstrike, which would needlessly kill many hostages. However, the abort command is received too late by the pilots, and one accidentally drops the first of its thermite-plasma payload onto the island. Fortunately, the bomb misses the hostages’ cell block, and only throws Goodspeed into the water, where he is promptly rescued by Mason. When the FBI arrives to secure Alcatraz, Goodspeed informs them that escaping Mason was actually “vaporized,” hence releasing him to freedom, anonymity, and his estranged daughter. Before his departure, however, Mason tells Goodspeed the location of the secret microfilm he’d stolen, and the movie closes with Goodspeed and his pregnant bride Carla recovering the microfilm, along with half a century of state secrets. The film ends with Goodspeed and Carla discovering the true person who shot JFK.

Eight years later, Narcotics cops Mike Lowrey (Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Lawrence) head a task force investigating the flow of ecstasy into Miami, after breaking up a Ku Klux Klan rally where in Mike accidentally shoots Marcus in the buttocks which, combined with Mike’s apparent propensity for violence, becomes a point of contention between the two throughout most of the film.

Meanwhile, neurotic Cuban kingpin named “Johnny” Tapia (Jordi Molla)’s plan to control the city’s drug traffic has touched off an underground war with the local Russian Mafia. The Russians, Alexei and Josef, receive drugs from Tapia to run their nightclub businesses, but had to give nearly half of their profits to Tapia. Their attempt to renegotiate ends in Josef’s death and loss of their business to Tapia.

Meanwhile, a relationship starts to form between Mike and Syd (Gabrielle Union), Marcus’ sister, who also happens to be undercover with the DEA as a money laundering agent for the Russians. During her first assignment the Zoe pounders, a Haitian gang, attempt to hijack the transport and kill Syd. A massive fire fight ensues between the gang members and the Miami Police/DEA and devastates the local area. Marcus and Mike, who happened to be observing the Zoe pounders, learn of Syd’s actual work, and Marcus is not happy.

Later, at the Burnett house, Mike has bought Marcus a new pool, and Marcus finally comes to peace with Mike dating his sister, Syd. He even tears up the transfer papers he was going to put in, which would have ended their partnership. However, the pool breaks again, washing the two into the river, as they sing the “Bad Boys” theme song from ‘Cops’. (still forgetting the actual words like before)
