Raizo was raised by the Ozunu Clan, to become their next successor of the clan. As a child, Raizo experienced severe training under the guidance of his “father”, Lord Ozunu. He was whipped and/or cut whenever he failed and was encouraged to hurt his ninja kin for their failures during their training. The only kindness he ever received was from Kiriko (Kylie Goldstein). As they grew older, Kiroko (Anna Sawai) and Raizo developed a romantic bond, however Kiriko’s desire to leave the Ozunu clan for freedom was greater. One stormy night, Kiriko decided to escape from the Ozunu. Kiriko encouraged Raizo to join, but he decided to stay. They kissed and she then climbed over the wall to freedom; she was caught and brought back by her ninja kin. Branded as a traitor, Kiriko was executed (a katana through her heart) by her elder ninja brother Takeshi (Rick Yune). When Kiriko died, Raizo begins to harbor resentment and doubt towards the Clan. When he completed his first hit, Lord Ozunu told him to execute an escaped kunoichi like Kiriko. He rebelled against Lord Ozunu by slashing his face with is blade-chain and fought against his ninja kin. Barely surviving his battle, he survived by falling into a nearby river. Raizo recovered and began interventions by foiling recent hits by the Ozunu. While staying in Berlin and waiting for the Ozunu’s next move, Raizo rented a small apartment where secretly continued to refine his training until it was time to act. One day, while washing his clothes, he was approached by an attractive asian woman to help her fold her sheets. Raizo exposed her as a kunoichi and she attempted to kill Raizo; Raizo won and hid her remains in the washer machine. By the time the owner came out, he only found her bloody remains in rinse cycle. Meanwhile, Mika Coretti (Naomie Harris) is a Europol agent who investigates money linked to political murders and finds that it is linked to the Ozunu Clan. She defies her superior, Ryan Maslow (Ben Miles), and retrieves secret agency files to find out more. The clan, finding out about the investigation, attempts to assassinate her, but she is rescued by Raizo. Mika convinced Raizo to meet with Maslow for protection and evidence against the Ozunu, but Raizo was intercepted by a task force for interrogation. Mika felt betrayed that Maslow would trick her that way, but Maslow assures Mika (in secret) that he’s still on her side and gave her a tracking device for emergencies. Mika was warning Maslow the dangers of keeping Raizo when the Ozunu ninjas infiltrated their secret base and began killing all officers. Mika freed Raizo and he lured the ninjas away as Mika tried to escape. Raizo killed and fended off as many ninjas as he can while Takeshi continues to trail him. Raizo and Mika managed to escape the fight, but Raizo had suffered mortal wounds around his stomach, however he insisted no hospitals and only rest in a private area. Mika then implanted the tracking device into Raizo. Unable to fend against the Ozunu, she hid outside the hotel until special forces arrive to help her. By the time they arrived, Ozunu ninjas have recovered Raizo and decided to send him back to their base for Lord Ozunu for prosecution. While hidden inside a steal locker, Raizo spent all this time using his healing techniques to heal all major injuries before reunited with his “father”. Lord Ozunu had Raizo tied to a stake, ready for execution and set as an example. Raizo angered Lord Ozunu more by being defiant to the end. Lord Ozunu struck against Raizo’s internal organs when he spat out the tracking device. Euro-special forces lead by Maslow stormed the hidden Ozunu base and killed most of the ninjas in the court yard. Takeshi and Raizo would face each other in the burning Ozunu house. Raizo was victorious and faced off his “father”. Lord Ozunu faced Raizo without fear, he used high speed shadow techniques to cut down Raizo. Mika arrived in attempt to save Raizo, only to be stabbed in the heart. Raizo used his remaining strength and used the same technique Lord Ozunu used earlier to literally disarm Lord Ozunu and killed him. After the battle, Raizo brought Mika out for medical attention. The feared the worse with a stab direct in the heart, but Mika’s heart was special, her heart is inches away where a normal human’s heart should be located. Mika survived and Raizo stayed behind what’s left of the Ozunu estate. He then looked over the same wall Kiriko climbed over in attempt to sense what Kiriko saw over the wall, Raizo smirked over the landscape and horizon.

Speed Racer (Emile Hirsch) is an 18-year-old whose life and love has always been automobile racing. His parents Pops (John Goodman) and Mom (Susan Sarandon) run the independent Racer Motors, in which his brother Spritle (Paulie Litt), mechanic Sparky (Kick Gurry), and girlfriend Trixie (Christina Ricci) are also involved. As a child Speed idolized his record-setting older brother Rex Racer (Scott Porter), but Rex was disowned by Pops for his decision to join a corporate racing team and was publicly defamed for appearing to cheat in a race. He was then killed while racing in the Casa Cristo 5000, an incredibly intense cross-country racing rally notorious for rough and foul play. Now embarking on his own career, Speed Racer is quickly sweeping the racing world with his skill behind the wheel of the Mach 5, but remains primarily interested in the art of the race and the well-being of his family.

Mr. Royalton (Roger Allam), owner of conglomerate Royalton Industries, offers Speed an astoundingly luxurious lifestyle in exchange for signing to race with him. Speed is tempted but declines due to his father’s distrust of power-hungry corporations. Angered, Royalton reveals that for many years the key races have been fixed by by corporate interests, including Royalton himself, to gain profits. He threatens Speed’s career and family, making good on these threats by having his drivers force Speed into a crash that destroys the Mach 5 and bombarding his family’s business with lawsuits. Speed decides that he must do something to stop Royalton and save the Racer business, and an opportunity to do so arises in the form of Inspector Detector (Benno Fürmann), head of a corporate crimes division. Racer Taejo Togokhan (Rain) claims to have evidence that could indict Royalton but will only offer it up if Speed and the mysterious masked Racer X (Matthew Fox) agree to race on his team in the Casa Cristo 5000. Taejo believes that a win could substantially raise the stock price of his family’s racing business and thus cause a proposed Royalton-arranged buyout to be more expensive. Speed agrees but keeps his decision secret from his family.

Speed enters the Grand Prix against great odds: Royalton has placed a bounty on his head that the other drivers are eager to collect, and he is pitted against legendary Hall of Fame driver Cannonball Taylor (Ralph Herforth). Speed overcomes a slow start to catch up with Taylor, who uses a cheating device called a spearhook to latch Speed’s car to his. Speed uses his jump jacks to expose the device to video cameras and cause Taylor to crash. Speed wins the race, having successfully exposed Royalton’s crimes. Racer X, who is watching the race, reveals through a flashback montage that he is indeed Rex, having faked his death and undergone plastic surgery to change his appearance as part of his plan to save his family and the sport of racing. He chooses not to reveal his identity to his family, believing it would do more harm than good. The Racer family celebrates Speed’s victory as Speed and Trixie kiss, and Royalton is sent to jail.

In the year 2038, Britain has become totalitarian and is ruled by the Far-Right Norsefire regime. The story follows Evey Hammond, a young woman who is rescued from state police by a masked vigilante known as “V”. After rescuing her, they witness V’s destruction of the Old Bailey. The regime explains the incident to the public as an emergency demolition, but this is shown to be a lie when V takes over the state-run British Television Network (BTN) the same day. He broadcasts a message urging the people of Britain to rise up against the oppressive government on the fifth of November; one year from that day, when V will destroy the Houses of Parliament. Evey helps V escape, but is put in danger. V saves Evey from being captured and interrogated by officials and does this by bringing her to his lair, where she is told that she must stay in hiding with him. Upon learning that V is killing government officials, she escapes to the home of one of her superiors at the BTN, television personality Gordon Deitrich. However, after he broadcasts a comedic show about the country’s current regime, the state police raid Gordon’s home, capturing Evey. She is incarcerated and tortured for days, which includes the length of her hair being shorn, leaving her with short hair. Finding solace only in notes left by another prisoner, Valerie, Evey is told that she will be executed unless she reveals V’s whereabouts. Evey says she would rather die. She is then released. Evey discovers that her imprisonment was staged by V, to free her from fear of the fascist government-“Only when you accept death are you free”, V tells her. Later that day Evey leaves V, promising to return before the fifth of November.

Evey is about to send the train down the track, when she is discovered by Inspector Finch. However, Finch, having learned much about the corruption of the Norsefire regime, allows Evey to proceed. Meanwhile, thousands of Londoners, all wearing Guy Fawkes masks, march on Parliament to watch the event. Among these Londoners, we see the faces of those who have died, including a little girl shot by the police for wearing the mask; Evey’s parents; Valerie, the lesbian prisoner in the cell next to V’s whose words had given him his drive; Ruth, Valerie’s partner; and Gordon Dietrich. Because Creedy and the Chancellor are dead, the British Army stands down in the face of a civil rebellion. Parliament is destroyed by the explosion. On a nearby rooftop, Evey and Finch watch the scene together.
