Borat Sagdiyev, a popular television personality, leaves his homeland of Kazakhstan for the “Greatest Country in the World,” the “US and A” to make a documentary film at the behest of the fictitious Kazakh Ministry of Information. He leaves behind his mother, his wife, Oksana, and the town rapist, and brings along his producer Azamat Bagatov (played by Ken Davitian), and his pet chicken, Buh-Kaw. Much of the movie features unscripted vignettes of Borat interviewing and interacting with Americans, who believe he is a foreigner with little or no understanding of American customs.[6]

While in New York, he sees an episode of Baywatch on television and immediately falls in love with Pamela Anderson. While Borat is interviewing a panel of feminists whom he unknowingly offended when he informed them about his country’s government scientist Dr Yamak claiming that woman’s brain is only the size of squirrel’s and he also learns that Pamela Anderson is living in California. Borat is informed via telegram that his violent wife has been violated and killed by a bear. Delighted by the news, he secretly resolves to go to California to make Anderson his new wife. Borat and Azamat were supposed to remain in New York, but Borat justifies the trip to California by telling his skeptical producer that “Pearl Harbor is there. So is Texas.” Because Azamat is afraid of a repetition of the September 11 terrorist attacks, which he believes were the work of the Jews, he will not fly there, so Borat takes driving lessons and buys a dilapidated ice-cream truck for the journey.

Borat finally comes face-to-face with Anderson at a book signing at a Virgin Megastore. After showing Anderson his “traditional marriage sack,” Borat pursues her throughout the store in an attempt to abduct her until he is tackled and handcuffed by security guards. Afterwards, Borat seeks out and marries a prostitute named Luenell, whom he had befriended earlier in the film, and returns to Kazakhstan with her. The final scene shows the changes that Borat’s observations in America have brought to his village, including the apparent conversion of the people to Christianity (the Kazakh version of which includes crucifixion of Jews) and the introduction of computer-based technology, such as iPods, laptop computers and a high-definition, LCD television.

Gaylord M. “Greg” Focker (Ben Stiller) is a male nurse living in Chicago. He intends to propose to his girlfriend Pam Byrnes (Teri Polo), a schoolteacher. His plans are disrupted by the news that Pam’s sister Debbie (Nicole DeHuff) is getting married and Greg and Pam are invited to spend the weekend before the wedding at Pam’s parents’ house in Oyster Bay, New York (on Long Island). Hoping to make the best of the situation, Greg now plans to propose to Pam in front of her family and brings the engagement ring he bought for Pam with him.

At the Byrnes family home, Greg meets Pam’s father Jack (Robert De Niro), mother Dina (Blythe Danner) and their beloved cat Mr. Jinx. Jack takes an instant dislike towards Greg and, subtly at first but more openly as time goes by, criticizes Greg for his choice of career as a male nurse and anything else he sees as a difference between Greg and the Byrnes family. Greg desperately tries to impress Jack but his efforts fail one by one. Greg presents the family with a bottle of cheap champagne he purchased at a local drug store; while trying to open the bottle, the cork flies out of the bottle and hits the urn containing the ashes of Jack’s beloved mother, breaking the urn and spilling the ashes on the ground, upsetting Jack even further.

The movie ends with Debbie and Bob’s wedding and Jack viewing the tapes of Greg recorded by the hidden cameras.

  • Genres: Action, Adventure, Comedy, Crime
  • Actors: Mike Myers, Heather Graham, Michael York, Robert Wagner, Rob Lowe, Will Ferrell

NATO’s monitoring facility observes the return of Dr. Evil (Mike Myers) and informs British intelligence. At Dr. Evil’s Seattle headquarters, Dr. Evil is presented with a one-eighth-size clone of himself (Verne Troyer) whom he calls Mini-Me. Number Two (Robert Wagner), who survived his incineration towards the end of the previous film, also reveals the enormous profits they have made by legitimately investing in a previously unknown startup company called “Starbucks”. However, Dr. Evil is unimpressed and unveils his latest evil plan—he has developed a time machine to go back to the sixties and steal Austin Powers’ (also Mike Myers) mojo, a fluid inside his “family jewels” which is the source of Austin’s incredibly sexual prowess and appeal.

Meanwhile, back in 1999, Austin is still enjoying his honeymoon with his wife—the former Vanessa Kensington (Elizabeth Hurley). Unfortunately, something goes amiss, and it turns out that she is actually one of Dr. Evil’s kamikaze fembots who attempts to kill Austin, but eventually self-destructs. He grieves briefly, but then proceeds to the lobby naked and celebrates being single again.

Dr. Evil and Mini-Me go back to 1969 and meet up with a younger Number Two (Rob Lowe) and (a not-so-young) Frau Farbissina (Mindy Sterling). A disgruntled “Scottish Guard” with unusual eating habits called Fat Bastard (again, Mike Myers) has been hired to extract Austin’s mojo from his frozen body at the Ministry of Defence Cryo Chamber.

Then, during the credits, we see Austin returning to his pad, only to hear Felicity having sex with another man. However, when he enters the room, he discovers that it is in fact the past Austin, who makes the claim that since he and Austin are the same person, it’s not cheating. Austin of course forgives Felicity (“I can’t blame you, Felicity, I mean… the man is handsome, baby!”) As he discovers he’s got his mojo back, both Austins then make their move on Felicity as the clip fades back to the credits.

The year is 2002. In his new underground lair behind the famous Hollywood sign, Dr. Evil outlines his latest evil plan. Using a time machine he will go back to 1975 and bring back a Dutchman, Johan van der Smut (alias Goldmember), who had developed a cold fusion unit for a tractor beam. He intends to use the tractor beam to pull a golden meteor into the Earth to strike and melt the polar ice caps and cause global flooding. However, the plot is discovered by the British Secret Service, and Austin leads a group of commandos to arrest Dr. Evil and place him in a maximum security prison.

Austin is knighted for his services but is disappointed when his father (the famous super-spy Nigel Powers) fails to attend the investiture. However, he later learns that his father was kidnapped from his yacht and that some of the crew have had their genitals painted with gold. It was immediately revealed to Austin that Nigel was kidnapped after he skipped out on the knighting ceremony. In search of answers, Austin visits the imprisoned Dr. Evil in Geneva, who tells him that the insane Goldmember is behind the abduction and, on the condition that he be transferred to a normal prison to be with his beloved Mini-Me, reveals that he is in 1975.

Meanwhile, alone in Dr. Evil’s now empty Hollywood lair, a completely bald, maniacal Scott has taken over Dr. Evil’s criminal empire and declares, like his father did in the last two films, that he will “get” Austin Powers; he then proceeds to inexplicably get out of his chair and dance like Michael Jackson.

Little Fockers

  • Producers: Robert De Niro, Jay Roach, Jane Rosenthal
  • Writers: Mary Ruth Clarke and Greg Glienna, John Hamburg and Marc Hyman, James Herzfeld John Hamburg
  • Genres: Comedy

After being given permission to marry Pam, the daughter of a retired CIA agent, Gaylord “Greg” Focker travels to Miami, with his fiancée, her nephew “Little Jack,” her parents and their cat to meet his quirky parents, Roz and Bernie Focker. Roz is a sex therapist for the elderly, while his dad is a prosecutor who stopped practicing when Greg was born to be a stay-at-home dad. On the other hand, Pam’s parents Jack and Dina are traditionally conservative, which produces many of the movie’s set ups and comedic situations. This movie shows an evolution in Jack’s relationship with his family. In the first movie, Meet the Parents, Jack is always in control of his family, whereas this time he goes too far with his suspicious nature and covert operations to expose what he believes is Greg’s secret past.
